Bliss, absolute!

The Correze department of France

We are in the Correze
The department of Correze forms part of the Limousin region of France. From the mysterious moors of the Millevaches plateau to the rolling hills of the Pays de Brive with its mild climate and verdant valleys, the Correze offers a great variety of landscapes. It is still relatively unknown as a holiday destination. Here's your chance to holiday in the green heart of France.

Brive Market

Brive market, every Saturday and Tuesday

Brive-la-Guillarde on market day - the colours, the smells, the noise, the atmosphere, if you want to experience a real French market we think you'll find Brive is one of the best.

Brive has a market every Saturday and Tuesday. It is a wonderful sight, full of colour and characters. Half the market is covered and so it is still worth a visit when it rains.

I love this market even if it is just to soak in the lively atmosphere - it always brings a huge smile to my face. All the marketeers are friendly and the prices are low.

Organic produce is abundant and some of the prepared dishes are well worth bringing home for supper. Brive itself is a beautiful, small city and it is well worth making a day of it.

You'll find more pictures of Brive Market and Brive itself on our flickr page here.
